The best times are the first of Sept. to the middle of Sept. All packages are based on 6 days and 7 nights. As each hunt is custom tailored to your individual needs, no two hunts are alike. As you have access to the main land and water transportation, anything is possible. Some even prefer drop camps for part of there trip.

Soft baggage, weight no more than 40 pounds works best on the float planes. Should you decide to ferry, there are no luggage limits. You should bring hunting attire, remember we are in the heart of the Tongass Rain Forest, sweater, something with a hood, warm jacket, extra socks, rain gear, water proof hunting boots and other amenities. Don't forget your camera and other photos materials as the Alaskan wildlife you will see can be amazing.

These Alaska hunting and fishing expeditions, or Cast & Blast trips, fill early and are usually booked by September of the preceding year. We limit the number of bear hunters to four hunters annually, and two hunters is the minimum, as competition is very keen during the Black Bear hunting season. The easiest hunting is spot and stalk along the hundreds of miles of coastal wetlands. Some remote islands have forest trails in excess of 150 miles and offer very good hunting due to limited access.
